You actually had to change out a crystal and a few other parts to up the vcore to get those things motoring, i also remember stacking ram chips up on that old mobo and upping the ram to a whopping 1 MB!!! I had to walk 5 miles uphill in the snow too to get that old ram too!! You young whippersnappers have no idea!!! Nowadays i just mouse down and to the right and click an icon, and i overclock cpu/gpu's/ram with a mouse click if i want too, but i remember the days of overclocking my first 286 machine. It's just a convienient way to do what many of us old heads were doing manually years ago, (eons actually) using tweak UI, or just plain old manual editing of the windoze registry to shut down services and processes not needed during gaming to get the footprint smaller and get every last drop of performance we could in our go fast gaming boxes of the day. It's just a lite/stand alone version of the module within Advanced System care, which is also very good. There is more of a security threat just posting on this board!Īll it does it shut down some process's and services that arent needed while gaming. Oh please, virus virus, spose the sky is falling too eh? Pffftt. I know some software that come with drivers ie. This in itself is a big concern and a security threat.

I can't see anyway that a simple software can speed things up in hardware-level without given access to superuser.
